The August Faltin Building is a prominent 1879 Victorian Italianate commercial structure that anchors the historic district of downtown Comfort.

Completed in 1879, the August Faltin Building was constructed to house the general merchandise business of Prussian native Friedrich August Faltin. The Victorian Italianate edifice was designed by prominent San Antonio architect Alfred Giles and built by J. H. Kampmann. A 1907 addition, also designed by Giles, provided second-floor meeting space for local fraternal and civic groups. Today, the structure is recognized as a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
