Cascade Caverns opened to the public in 1932 and has run tours nearly continuously since. The daily DownUnder Tour covers 1,100 feet of the upper cave across five rooms, descending 132 feet to the Cathedral Room with its fifty-foot ceiling and solution domes. Formations are ninety-five percent active — water still drips through the rock, building stalactites, stalagmites, and draperies. Tours may close in bad weather; call ahead to confirm access.
